Sports Associations deny complaint against JKOA

JAMMU, July 15: Sports Associations vehemently denied complaints against J&K Olympic Association and its president, Dr Ashutosh Sharma.
In a statement issued here by nearly 13 J&K Sports Association including Wrestling, Judo, Rifle, Archery, Yoga, Weightlifting, Kho-Kho, Lawn Tennis, Basketball, Modern Pentathlon, Gymnastic and Cycling said that these sports bodies are working voluntarily and independently without any interference of J&K Olympic Association and its president.
“The news of interfering in the functioning of these bodies is a manipulation of few officials of the Sports Council to hide their misdeeds and misuse of Central funds in crores which will be brought to the notice of Authority concerned in instalments,” the statement read as.
