Thieves’ gang busted; 3 arrested with stolen items

JAMMU, July 17: Channi Himmat Police busted thieves’ gang with the arrest of three persons along with stolen items.
As per police sources, on July 8 this year, a complaint was lodged by Police Station Channi Himmat by a person namely Veepuri Krishan Verma, son of VSN Raju of Subhash Nagar, Jeediemetals, Hyderabad, Telengana, at present House Number 232, Sector 5, Channi Himmat, Jammu stating that some unknown thieves entered into their guest house at Sector 6, Channi Himmat, District Jammu and decamped with LED, wrist watch, silver bracelet, etc.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 124/2021 under Section 454, 380 IPC was registered at Police Station Channi Himmat and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Channi Himmat led by SHO Inspector Karan Chalotra and assisted by PSI Arun Shan was constituted under the supervision of SDPO East Bikram Kumar and SP South Deepak Digra.
The team after strenuous efforts along with the analysis of technical assistance and CCTV footages of the area arrested a thief, who confessed his involvement in the above case and some other cases of different Police Stations of District Jammu. On his disclosure, his two more associates were arrested.
The arrested persons were identified as Baljinder Singh alias Mangu, son of Narinder Singh of Nanak Nagar, District Jammu, Sunny Chouhan, son of Lalit Chouhan of Sant Nagar, Old Delhi at present Basant Vihar, Trikuta Nagar, District Jammu and Mohan Sharma alias Munu, son of Kala of Nanak Nagar, District Jammu.
On their disclosure, police recovered 3 LEDs, 1 silver bracelet, one wrist watch and one car.
It is pertinent to mention here that the arrested persons were notorious criminal and were involved in various theft cases earlier also.
Further investigation of the case is going on to ascertain their involvement in other cases also.
