SRINAGAR, July 19: Hyderya Sports FC trounced Shaheen FC Jammu by two goals to nil (2-1), whereas in another match which was played between Real Kashmir FC (RKFC) and Lonestar KFC ended in a 1-1 draw in the ongoing 1st edition of Professional Football League-2021, being played at Synthetic Turf TRC, here today.
The first match was played between Lonestar KFC and Real Kashmir FC. Both clubs started with an aggressive note and tried hard to find gaps but the Turks of Lonestar KFC succeeded in the 10th minute to score their first goal through Ivan Steven. Real Kashmir FC tried hard to equalize the game in the first half but failed to do so.
The 2nd half saw tactical Football and Real Kashmir FC left no stone unturned to go for an equaliser but got success by a gifted goal from Lonestar KFC due to the mistake of LKFC defender. Both teams tried hard to take the lead but remained unsuccessful and thus the match ended in a 1:1 draw. Hayat Handoo of LKFC was declared as man of the match.
The 2nd match was played between Hyderya Sports FC & Shaheen FC Jammu wherein both the teams exhibited their skills during the match. In the 15th minute in the first half, the Turks of Hyderya Sports FC netted an excellent goal through Immad and maintained the lead over their opponents. In the dying moments, the Hyderya Sports FC was awarded a penalty kick and Gagan made no mistake in converting the penalty into a goal. Thus Hyderya Sports defeated Shaheen FC Jammu by two goals to nil (2-1). Immad of Hyderya Sports FC was declared as man of the match.
The tournament is being organized by J&K Football Association in collaboration with J&K Sports Council.
