JAMMU, July 20: Divisional Sports Officer Jammu of J&K Sports Council conducted screening of Chess players for four online National Chess Championships in the presence of Manager Indoor Stadium, Satish Gupta’ president All J&K Chess Association, Atul Kumar Gupta; Arbiter Anil Kotwal and Goutam, here today.
The selected players including Soham Kamotra, Meenal Gupta, Arushi Kotwal, Ashutosh Jamwal and Surinder Gupta will participate in National online events in Senior open, Senior women, National Junior open and National Junior girls. They were selected on merit as per their positions in J&K UT chess events, held in the month of March, 2021.
Online National Chess Championships are scheduled to be organised from July 22 to 28 on Ternelo platform by All India Chess Federation.
