JAMMU, July 22: A pillion rider was killed in accident in Gidarh Galliyan area of Gadigarh here today, while the motorcycle rider has been arrested.
As per police sources, a pillion rider was seriously injured when the motorcycle he was riding on hit the barricade of canal in Gidarh Galliyan area of Gadigarh.
The profusely bleeding victim was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMHC), where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The body of the deceased identified as Shubam Thakur, son of Jaan Bahadur, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, at present Bishnah has been shifted to mortuary for post-mortem.
The rider of the motorcycle identified as Hukum Singh, son of Jandhar, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, at present Bishnah District Jammu has been arrested.
Gadigarh Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
