SRINAGAR, June 27: Inter-District Martial Art Boys Championship in the disciplines of judo, sqay, taekwondo, wushu, thang-ta, kick boxing and teet kane do, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, concluded at Youth Hostel, here today.
Over 300 students drawn from various districts of Kashmir division participated in the Championship to vie for the top honours.
District Srinagar lifted the overall trophy, while district Bandipora finished second in the medal tally.
Those who claimed gold in different events included Mir Mohsin of Ganderbal, Mir Talib of Ganderbal, Hilal Ahmed Lone of Srinagar, Adnan Farooq of Ganderal, Aamir Hussain of Anantnag, Syed Ahmed Khan of Ganderbal, Sheeraz Ahmed of Anantnag, Ehsan-ul-Haq Boda of Shopian, Syed Taha of Budgam, Amjid Ali of Kargil and Manan Qadri of Srinagar.
The silver medalists included Aamir Lone of Kupwara, Sajad Ahmed of Kupwara, Sartaj Ahmed Khan of Ganderbal, Fareed of Srinagar, Haris Malik of Bandipora, Shsh-e-Jahan of Shopian, Yasir Ayoub of Srinagar, Waseem Qureshi of Ganderbal, Syed Shamsudin of Kargil, Junaid Altaf of Shopian and Mohammad Mouzam Khan of Anantnag, while the bronze medals in different events went to Abdul Basit of Srinagar, Zahid Rasheed of Srinagar, Saleem Amin of Shopian, Hazik Bilal of Shopian, Naseer Ahmed of Kupwara, Fazil Muzafar of Srinagar, Tawseef Ahmed Khan of Ganderbal, Nadeem Ahmed Dar of Srinagar and Junaid of Kupwara.
The events in girls section will be held at the same venue from tomorrow.
