2 killed, 2 injured in road mishaps

SRINAGAR, June 27: Two persons were killed and two others injured today in different road accidents across the Kashmir, police said.
A pedestrian, Mohammad Shafi, son of Mohammad Imam, of Calcutta was injured near ITI crossing Bemina when an unidentified tipper hit him. He was shifted to SKIMS Bemina where he succumbed to his injures.
A Scooty rider, Amjid Hussain Mir, son of Ghulam Hyder Mir of Zari Mohalla, Lalbazar, was killed when an unidentified Maruti car hit him at Mill Stop, Zadibal, resulting in his on spot death, police said.
A Gypsy bearing registration number JK03/1896 on way from Srinagar to Anantnag, driven by Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, son of Ghulam Qadir of Bona Dailgam, hit and injured a pedestrian Nadeem Maqbool Dar son of Mohammad Maqbool of Batengoo at Batengoo, Anantnag. He was was shifted to District Hospital Anantnag for treatment, police said.
A Tavera bearing registration number JK04B/9099 driven by Mohammad Saleem Ganie of Beerwah hit and injured a pedestrian Ghulam Qadir Gashoo, son of Habibullah of Nundreshi Colony, Bemina, at Nundreshi Colony, Srinagar in the jurisdiction of police station Batamaloo. He was shifted to hospital for treatment, police said.
