JAMMU, July 29: Narwal Police arrested a mechanic with cannabis from Yard Number 6 here today.
As per police sources, during patrolling a team from Police Post Narwal led by SI Achal Rana intercepted a person at Yard Number 6, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered around 30 grams of cannabis from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Ajay Sharma, son of Krishan Lal, a resident of Nanak Nagar District Jammu. He was working as a mechanic in Narwal.
A case FIR Number 268/2021 under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started.
The arrest was made under the supervision of SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Deepak Pathania and SDPO East Bikram Kumar.
