Singh Challenger Akhnoor outplays RCC Nagrota by 6 wkts

AKHNOOR, June 28: Singh Challenger Cricket Club Akhnoor defeated RCC Nagrota in an easy contest by 6 wickets in the ongoing 5th Pawan Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor, under the overall supervision of Sham Singh Langeh at Government Higher Secondary School, here.
Earlier, batting first, RCC Nagrota scored a modest total of 103 runs in 18.1 overs. Ranjeet was the top scorer with 37 runs, while Vishal and Madan contributed 20 and 14 runs to the total respectively. For Singh Challenger Club, Vinod, Pankaj Kumar and Lucky Sharma bagged 2 wickets each, while Rajinder Sharma and Rinku Gupta claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Singh Challenger Club achieved the target in 17.1 overs by losing 4 wickets, thus won the match by 6 wickets. Avinash top scored with 30 runs, while Pankaj Sharma and Rajinder Sharma contributed 23 and 16 runs to the total respectively. Ranjeet took 2 wickets for RCC Nagrota, while the dismissal of the other two batsmen was plotted via run-outs.
The match was officiated by Vikas Bali and Joginder Magotra as umpires, while Deepak Kumar acted as the scorer.
