JAMMU, Aug 4: BJP leader and corporator, Baldev Singh Billawaria today visited Ward 45, Preet Nagar area and took stock of the development related issues.
People apprised Billawaria of the problems being faced due to the poor condition of the road. Local residents told Billawaria that the road was in bad condition for a long time and due to the broken drain dirty water comes out which spreads all the infected diseases. While interacting with the people, Billawaria said that the pace of development had slowed down due to COVID-19 but now again the development started gaining momentum even though earlier many development works have been done in areas which are giving great relief to the people.
He assured the people that construction work of the road would be done soon after talking to the concerned department. He said that the Modi Government is committed to the holistic development of the people with special focus on infrastructure development and social welfare. Billawaria said that the Modi Government is the Government of the poor and in view of the Coronavirus, the Central Government has once again announced the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana for the poor families. He said under this scheme, the Central Government will give five kg additional food grains (rice/wheat) per person free of cost to the ration card holders from the quota fixed till Diwali. This will benefit 80 crore needy persons.
Billawaria said that empowerment of the poor is the top priority of the Modi Government. He said that after the launch of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, the beneficiaries consumers are getting great relief. Billawaria said that the Modi Government is fully with the countrymen in this disaster. He said that the workers of BJP Jammu and Kashmir are engaged in the service of the people from the very beginning while discharging their duties for the society as a responsible citizen.
Sat Pal Choudhary, Purna Chand, Vinod Sharma, Vijay Choudhary, Pawan Kumar, Vikram Choudhary were also present on the occasion.
