Joint coordination meeting held between BSF, Jammu Police

JAMMU, Aug 5: In connection with preparedness for forthcoming Independence Day, a joint coordination meeting was held between Jammu Police and BSF officers at BOP Golpattan in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kanachack.
Joint meeting was convened by CO Dilbag Singh of 12 Battalion BSF and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma flanked by SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul and SHO Police Station Kanachack Inspector Vishav Partap Singh.
The agenda of the meeting was intelligence sharing between various security forces for better border security management.
The issues related to spotting of drones flying along the border areas were discussed. Furthermore discussions regarding establishment of joint nakas, joint MCPs between local police and BSF, joint patrolling in border areas by BSF and police personal were made.
During the meeting, SP Sanjay Sharma emphasised to maintain high level of alertness in border and adjoining areas to prevent any untoward incident.
CO Dilbag Singh stressed upon creating awareness among general public residing near border areas about the drone spotting and flying of drone and to create awareness among masses in border areas about general features of drones and simultaneous intelligence sharing with security forces by the locals residing in the border area. Emphasis was also laid on joint CASO by security forces where expected suspicious movement of infiltrators was possible and on the movement of exfiltrates and various anti-national and anti-social elements across the International Border.
