JAMMU, Aug 5: To mark two years of the historic abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A from the Indian Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, celebrations were held in different areas of the Jammu and Kashmir.

“Naya Kashmir is not a hoax but a reality. However, it is very different from the idea of Kashmir nurtured by the Gupkaris for more than seven decades. In their visualisation Kashmir is their fiefdom (sultanat) where only they own the exclusive rights to prosperity including their children who lead safe and cozy lives in foreign lands while a common Kashmiri continues to struggle for both ends to meet and live under the perpetual threat of the gun”, stated Brigadier Veteran Anil Gupta, Spokesperson of Bharatiya Janata Party in a press release issued at the party HQ today.
The programs on the completion of 2 years of abrogation of Article 370 were held in all 13 Wards of Janipur Mandal of District Jammu West. Former Minister and Ex MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) participated and unfurled the National flag in the programs along with District President Munish Khajuria, Prabhari and Seh Prabhari Rekha Mahajan and Shailja Gupta. The programs were held under the leadership of Mandal President Raveesh Mengi.
To mark two years of the historic abrogation of Article 370 and 35(A) from the Indian Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Seh-Prabhari (Co-Incharge) of BJP Jammu and Kashmir, Ashish Sood, visited Poonch, where he paid due respect to the statue of Shaheed Brigadier Pritam Singh and garlanded his statue. An all-inclusive programme, encompassing people of all castes, creeds and religions, was also conducted at the “Chakkan Da Bagh” Trade Centre at Zero Point, Line of Control (LoC). Ashish Sood was accompanied by BJP Jammu and Kashmir’s General Secretary Vibodh Gupta, Vice President Virendra Jeet Singh, Ex-MLC Pradeep Sharma and District President Mohammed Rafique Chishti. A mesmerizing “Tiranga Yatra” was also taken out.
A program was organised by Advocate Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor JMC to mark the second year anniversary of abrogation of article 370 from J&K which Arun Gupta President Chamber of Commerce and Lalit Jain President Panjtirthi Bazaar Association were invited. The program was held at panjtirthi chowk in Jammu East ward no. 01 by Adv. Purnima Sharma during which Indian National flag was also unfurled. The program was attended by team of Chamber of Commerce including Anil Gupta Senior Vice-President, Rajeev Gupta Junior Vice-President, Gaurav Gupta Secretary General and Rajesh Gupta Secretary, while many BJP leaders and many other prominent members of the area were also present.
A flag hoisting ceremony was organized at the J&K Cricket Association office Jammu which apart from the members of the Sub-Committee JKCA was also attended by the members of the newly appointed Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC). The national flag, BCCI flag and the JKCA flags were hoisted atop the pavilion building. The national flag was hoisted by Brig Anil Gupta (retd) and Senior Advocate Sunil Sethi. BCCI flag was hoisted by CAC members Abdul Qayoom and Roopali Salathia.
While hoisting National Tricolor at Dhema, Kaghote, Sunetar and Ramnagar town to commemorate 5th August, Ranbir Singh Pathania Spokesperson J&K BJP said that the vision of ‘Ek Bharat, Ekatam Bharat was conceptualized by Narendra Modi Government at the Centre. He was accompanied by senior party functionaries including Kuldeep Sharma, Mohinder Singh (Mandal Pardhans), DDC Councilors from Ramnagar-I, Ramngar-II, Ghordi, Latti, Kuldeep Singh (District General Secretary), Shiv Ram (General Secretary Mandal Majalta) and others.
BJP OBC Morcha organised programmes at more than 30 sites across Jammu and Kashmir to celebrate ‘Ekatamta Divas’ under the leadership of its President Braham Jyot Satti. The programmes were organised by District President of different areas.
DDC Member, Pt Suresh Sharma hoisted the National Flag in Bhalwal Brahmana Panchayat of Mandal Jourian as part of the Solidarity Day Programme. Addressing the party workers, Suresh Sharma said that on this day, by removing Article 370 and 35A, Jammu and Kashmir was fully integrated with the whole of India. On this occasion, DDC Bhushan Bral, BDC Chairperson Neha Rajput and many others were present.
JMC Corporator Anil Kumar Masoom celebrated two year anniversary of abrogation of article 370 from J&K at Jammu East Ward Number 10 by unfurling the National Flag at Chowk Chabuthra. The program was attended by Parveen Karni, Ramesh Gupta, Sanjeev, Vipen Sharma and many other prominent members of the area.
KP Sabha led by President KK Khosa unfurled the National Flag at Sabha Office Ambphalla.
National Flag was hoisted by Naib Sarpanch Iqbal Chand at Kud in District Udhampur. ‘POJK Sharnathi Intellectuals Forum General Secretary Surjit Singh, Pritam Singh and many others were present on the occasion.
Col Mahan Singh (Retd) DDC Chairman and Ex-President Pahadi Zila hoisted National Flag at Basohli to mark 2nd anniversary of abrogation of article 35A and 370 from the Indian Constitution as a historical decision. BDC Chairperson Basohli, Ram Chand Ex BDO, Capt Harnam Singh, Rajinder Prohit, Shiv Padha, Kewal Singh and many others were present on the occasion. Similar events were held in other Mandals of Billawar and Bani. Meanwhile, National Flag was hoisted by Col Mahan Singh at Ram Lila Ground, Main Bazaar Mahanpur. Col Mahan Singh (Retd) hoisted National Flag at Saheed Rajinder Singh Chowk and paid floral tribute at the statue of Kargil War Hero Hav Rajinder Singh.
BJP senior leader Baldev Singh Billawaria hoisted Tricolor on the second anniversary of abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A at Ward Number 56 Gangyal in Gandhi Nagar constituency.
Many programs were held in BJP District RS Pura under the leadership of District President HS Pammi. On the occasion Former Minister Sham Lal Choudhary, Ex MLA Gharu Bhagat, General Secretary Akash Chopra and many others were present.
Vishwa Kashmiri Samaj celebrated the 5th of August at Kacchi Chawani. The program was organized under the chairmanship of Kiran Wattal Convener. On this occasion, a bhandara was served to large number of people from different walks of life. The dignitaries who participated in the programme Deputy Mayor Jammu Advocate Purnima Sharma, Rajesh Gupta Chairman Tourism Federation Jammu, Harinder Secretary BJP, Dr Gautam Goel Advisor J&K Civil Society), etc.
Nitish Mahajan, UT Executive Member, BJP J&K, said that abrogation of Article 370 is the biggest achievement of the Modi Government in the country. While hoisting the National Flag, on the second anniversary of abrogation of Article 370, Mahajan said that the BJP Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken several historic and landmark decisions at an unparalleled scale.
The workers of Dogra Front & Shiv Sena under the leadership of President Ashok Gupta took out Tiranga rally to commemorate second anniversary of abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A. The party workers who were present were Birbal, Ashish, Naresh, Sushma, Nanki, Bantu, Kalu, Sushil, Ashok, Brij, etc.
Er Ramesh Chander State Executive Member of BJP Health and Medical Cell UT of J&K also celebrated the abrogation of articles at Jagti Mini Township. A rally was also organized.
ABVP Jammu Mahanagar celebrated 2nd anniversary of abrogation of article 370 and 35A at Hanuman Chowk, Ambphala and Parade Chowk, Jammu. ABVP Jammu Kashmir State Secretary Mukesh Manhas, ABVP Jammu Mahanagar Secretary Chahat Anand and many others were present on the occasion.
