MENDHAR, July 4: A 72-year-old man has been booked by police for committing rape on his young daughter-in-law at village Saruti in tehsil Mendhar today.
The action was taken by police after 30-year old woman, Parvaaz Akhtar (fake name), wife of one Sharief, resident of Saruti in Ari area, lodged an FIR No. 92/2013 with the Mendhar police that she was allegedly rapped by his father-in-law, Mohd Hussain alias Munshi. She alleged that not only he, his brother-in-law, Mohd Khalil was also harassing her with ill-intensions since long.
The police registered a case and started investigation. Both the accused were said to be evading arrest while police was conducting raids to nab them.
