SRINAGAR, Aug 27: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from society, Police have arrested 3 drug peddlers in Kulgam and recovered contraband substance from their possession.
Officers from Police Station DH Pora under the supervision of SDPO DH Pora Shri Sheikh Tahir Amin-JKPS at a checkpoint established at Nandimarag crossing intercepted 03 suspicious persons who were trying to flee from the spot after noticing a police party.
“They have been identified as Gulzar Ahmad Ganie, Muzaffar Ahmad Bhat and Ali Mohammad Mir, all residents of DH Pora. During checking, officers were able to recover 70 gms of Brown Sugar from their possession. They have been arrested and shifted to the police station where they remain in custody,” police said.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 107/2021 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station DH Pora and further investigation has been initiated.
