Assets of former Ministers need scanning: Suri

JAMMU, Aug 27: J&K BJP executive members, Raman Suri today stated that the assets of former Minister needs to be scanned as they ‘looted’ public exchequers ruthlessly during their tenure.
In a press statement issued here, he said that having looted the erstwhile State’s exchequer, done nothing as Ministers and then discouraged the three-tier system of governance by not holding elections to local bodies, several former Ministers belonging to Congress, PDP and even NC are now trying to peddle a false narrative about the present dispensation by raking up issues of unemployment and poor governance.
Truth, however, is that this is for the first time in its history that J&K is witnessing the most transparent system of governance, he asserted.
“Every institution spoilt by misgovernance is being revived, accountability is being fixed, corrupt and Pakistan sympathisers are getting nailed, money is being spent judiciously, funds are reaching beneficiaries directly, new projects are coming up, and the UT with rest of the world, and above all, the scope of corruption is completely being eliminated from all the Government departments,” he said.
Raman Suri asked the leaders from these parties to desist from misleading people and read the writing on the wall that from this day onwards, Jammu and Kashmir is not going to look back and the youth will never fall a prey to misinformation and misguidance.
