SAMBA, Aug 30: A pedestrian was killed today in a hit and run case in Vijaypur area.
“An unidentified vehicle this afternoon hit and killed on the spot a pedestrian on Devika bridge near AIIMS naka Vijaypur,” a police official said, adding, the driver of the vehicle fled from the spot after committing the crime.
He said that the identity of the deceased person has not yet been ascertained. “However, the Vijaypur Police took possession of the body and sent it to Ramgarh Hospital for post-mortem,” the official said. He said that a case has been registered in this connection at police station Vijaypur and further investigation started.
