Budgam Braves beats Shahi Shopian, lifts title

SRINAGAR, Sept 1: Budgam Braves emerged winner of Kashmir Premier League by defeating Shahi Shopian and lifted the title trophy, organised by Army, here today.
While speaking on the occasion, SSP Budgam, Tahir Saleem congratulated the winners for making the feat and hoped that they would inspire other youth to engage them in sports activities.
He also stated that sports play an important role in the overall personality development of an individual.
He emphasised on youth to take full advantage of the platform provided by Budgam Police which is aimed to boost sports activities and channel energy towards positive goals.
While appreciating the role of players, SSP Budgam felicitated them with appreciation certificates. The event was also attended by DySP DAR DPL Budgam and other police officers.
Pertinently, the Kashmir Premier League 2021 was organised by Army (15th Core Srinagar) which had commenced on 28th July 2021. Total 196 teams across the Valley participated in the tournament.
The final of the tournament was played on 29th August 2021 between Budgam Braves and Shahi Shopian in which Budgam Braves emerged as winners by defeating Shahi Shopian.
