JAMMU, Sept 2: Inter-Zonal School Level (IZSL) competitions/trials, organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports, Zone Gandhi Nagar in disciplines of Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Tug-of-War, Badminton, Chess and Carrom, concluded at different venues including Guru Harkrishan Public School Nanak Nagar and Government Girls High School Gandhi Nagar, here today.
The trials were organised under supervision by ZPEO Gandhi Nagar, Chander Kanta on the direction of DYSSO Jammu, Sukhdev Raj Sharma. About 155 boys were drawn from different institutions of Zone Gandhi Nagar during the trials.
Meanwhile, the trial cum selection in the disciplines of Cricket and Tug-of-War were also conducted for under-14, 17 &19 boys and girls categories of Zone Akhnoor at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Akhnoor to pick up teams for the upcoming Inter-Zonal District level competitions.
Moreover, the trials were also successfully conducted at GBHS Jammu Cantonment and Government Model Middle School Satwari wherein nearly 164 participants from different institutions of Zone Satwari participated in the disciplines of Kho-Kho, Football, Chess, Carrom, Volleyball, Tug of War and Badminton under-19 years for both boys and girls under the supervision of ZPEO Satwari.
