NCC cadets demonstrate attack on enemy post

JAMMU, July 7: The 10-day NCC camp at Nagrota saw a demonstration by the cadets as to how a enemy post is destroyed in attack by an Infantry Section.
Machine gun, Rifle fire, Rocket launcher, Grenade fire etc were also depicted during the event. All this was a part of training of 500 NCC Cadets including boys and girls, in the Annual Training Camp of the NCC Unit of 2 J&K Battalion of Jammu.
Children from Jammu, Samba,Udhampur, Akhnoor, Sunderbani, Rajouri, Poonch, Baramulla and Srinagar were part of the camp.
The camp started for 10 days on June 29, 2013 and will terminate on July 8, 2013.  The camp is being trained by Col Rawel Singh who is personally present and closely monitoring the training of these young cadets.
Col PY Parbate, SM, who is the Deputy Camp Commandant, explained that in the camp, cadets are also being trained in Drill, Yoga, Map Reading, Firing and Social Service activities.
