JAMMU, July 8: Christ Church Akhnoor drubed St. Mary’s Church Gandhi Nagar and entered the semi-final in the ongoing tournament. Batting first, Christ Church Akhnoor scored 151 runs for 7 wickets in the allotted 12 overs. Madan was the main scorer with 37 runs and hit 5 sixes in his inning, while Prince and Dannis were the other batsmen who made 36 and 22 runs. For St. Mary’s Church Gandhi Nagar , Rohit, Tilak, Karan and Anil took 2,2,1,1 wickets respectively for his team. Chasing the target of 151 runs, St. Mary’s Church Gandhi Nagar tried to chased the target but lost all the wickets in just 65 runs. Tilak was the main scorer who scored 37 with 4 sixes rest no other batsman reach in the double figure.For Christ Church Akhnoor team, Sunny, Madan and Prince took 5,4,1 wickets respectively. Man of the match was awarded to Madan of Christ Church Akhnoor.
In the second match, Evengical Church drubs St. Jones Church B/N Jammu by 5 wickets. Batting first St.Jones Church team scored 141 runs for 4 wickets in the allotted 12 overs game. Abhi and Rishu were the main scorers who scored 39 and 35 for the team. For Evengical Church team, Rippon and Tony were the bowler who took two wicket each. In reply , Evengical Church team chased the target in 10.3 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Ranchan and Sonu were the batsmen who scored 42(6 sixes,1 fours) and 24(3sixes) runs for the team. Rishu, Abhi and Cellon of St.Jones took 1 wicket each.Man of the match was awarded to Ranchan of Evengical Church.
