Srinagar, July 10: The J&K Taekwondo Association has felicitated the Valley based karate players for their wonderful show in the recently concluded ‘Indo-Bhutan Ashira Karate championship 2013″ held in Bhutan recently.
Five players from Valley namely Abid Teli, Maqbool Hussain, Abid Hussain, Mukhtar Hussain, Shujaat Hussain were part of the Indian contingent that bagged 1 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals in the reputed event.
They were accompanied by general secretary-cum-coach, Syed Sajjad and senior vice-president, Syed Tajamul.
Meanwhile, to felicitate the players for the achievement, a medals-cum-certificate ceremony was held in a local hotel here. The ceremony was attended by Sr. Vice Presidents of J&K Taekwondo, Syed Sajjad and Syed Tajamul.
