SRINAGAR, Sept 29: Downtown Hero’s FC trounced Syed Tajuddin FC by 2 goals to nil in the ongoing ‘First Positive Kashmir Knockout Football Championship’ being played at Synthetic Turf TRC, here today.
The Downtown Hero’s FC players were more aggressive in their approach and they made some early moves to beat the defence lines of the Syed Tajuddin FC. However, the goalkeeper and other defenders of Syed Tajuddin FC were equal to the task and they kept the Downtown Hero’s forwards at bay. In the 30th minute Downtown Hero’s FC managed to score the first goal, whereas in the 2nd half, the Turks of Downtown Hero’s netted another goal in the 75th minute through Diler and maintained the lead by 2 goals to nil till the last whistle. Diler of the Downtown Hero’s FC was declared as player of the match for his performance.
Meanwhile, in the ongoing Annual League Football Tournament, four matches of ‘A’ Division were played at Gindun Ground Rajbagh & Synthetic Turf TRC.
The 1st match was played between Mehjoor FC and 7 Star FC which was won by 7 Star FC by 2:1 goals wherein Inayat and Umer scored one goal each for 7 Star FC, while Sahil was the scorer for Mehjoor FC. In the 2nd match which was played between United Kashmir FC and Pandrathan FC. United FC won the match by 2:0 goals. Aqib and Hassan were the scorers for Pandrathan FC and In the 3rd match, Real Cosmos FC defeated Baghi Hamdan FC by 2:0 goals wherein Umair Khan scored two goals for Real Cosmos FC and the 4th match which was played between Makdoomi FC and Nishat FC remained 1:1 goal draw.
