RAJOURI, Sept 30: Need based daily rated workers of PHE department staged protest dharna under the leadership of Javid Khan at PHE office Rajouri.
The protesting PHE workers were demanding release of wages of the last 33 months, pending since long. They alleged that all the workers were performing their duties regularly but the Department officials were not releasing their wages. They alleged that their families have been made to face starvation.
They also submitted a memorandum to XEN PHE, Nowshera Mushtaq Chowdhary who replied that at present grant is not available. However he assured to take up the issue with higher authorities. e purpose. Later, they dispersed at around 12.15 pm.
