Two bovines rescued

JAMMU, Sept 30: Jhajjar Kotli Police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid by arresting a suspected smuggler and rescuing two bovines.
“During routine naka checking, a police team of police station Jhajjar Kotli intercepted one truck bearing registration number JK18-0465 and on checking of the vehicle found two bovine animals kept in the driver’s cabin,” a police official said.
He said that bovines were rescued and the truck driver namely Imtiyaz Ahmed son of Mohd Shafi Bhatt of Ganipura Mattan (Anantnag) along with his associate, Ravi Kumar son of Shanker Dass of Neeli Nallah Jib Thathi Tehsil (district Udhampur), were arrested on spot.
In this regard, a case FIR number 159/2021 under section 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act stands registered at police station Jhajjar Kotli.
