Two Punjab residents arrested with poppy straw

JAMMU, Oct 4: Jhajjar Kotli Police arrested two Punjab residents with 22.120 kilograms of poppy straw.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Jhajjar Kotli led by SHO Inspector Devinder Singh under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Parupkar Singh laid a naka and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number PB01C-4543.
During checking, police team recovered 22.120 kilograms of poppy straw from the vehicle and arrested two persons, who were identified as Satwant Singh and Charanjit Singh, both residents of Punjab.
A case under FIR Number 164/2021 under Section 8/15/25/29 NDPS Act got registered at P/S Jhajjar Kotli and accused got arrested. The overall arrest and recovery was made under the supervision of SP Rural Sanjay Sharma.
