JAMMU, Oct 6: Department of Youth Services and Sports organised Inter-Zonal District Level Wrestling and Cricket competitions in All Age Groups (AAG) of boys at Indoor Hall Gulshan Ground and Khel Gaon Nagrota respectively, here today.
About 80 boys participated in the Wrestling competitions. The competitions were organised under the chairmanship of Gazanfar Ali (JKAS), Director Youth Services & Sports J&K.
In Cricket Under-19, Bishnah zone trounced Marh zone by 1 run, whereas Akhnoor beat Khour by 22 runs.
In Wrestling Under 14 (35 kg), Shivam Kumar of Zone Satwari stood first, while Dheeraj Kumar of Zone Satwari, Sunil Singh of Zone RS Pura, Arshad of Zone Miran Sahib & Manthan Padiar of Bhalwal remained 1st in weight categories including 38 kg, 41 kg, 44 kg & 48 kg respectively and Mohit Kumar of Zone RS Pura, Deepak Singh of Zone RS Pura and Hamid Mohammed of Zone Bishnah clinched 1st positions in 52 kg, 57 kg & 62 kg respectively.
In under-17 years (45 kg), Rahul Kumar of Zone Satwari bagged 1st position, whereas Shiv Narayan of Zone Akhnoor, Vansh Sharma of Zone Khour, Mohd Aslam of Zone Bhalwal and Rahul Singh of Zone Satwari stood 1st in weight categories including 48kg, 51kg, 55kg & 60 kg respectively and in weight categories 65 kg, 71kg, 80 kg, 92 kg, Ansar Khan of Zone Bhalwal, Varun Salgotra of Zone Arnia, Rohit Salotra of Zone Akhnoor and Lovejit Kaith of Zone Marh bagged 1st positions respectively.
