Thief arrested with stolen motorcycle, 9 mobile phones

JAMMU, Oct 9: Domana Police arrested a thief and recovered stolen motorcycle and 9 mobile phones from his possession.
As per police sources, on October 4 this year, a written complaint was lodged at Police Station Domana by a person stating that his bike which was parked outside a residential house at Muthi has been stolen.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 281/2021 under Section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Domana and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Domana led by SHO Inspector Mahesh Sharma and assisted by PSI Anoop Kotwal was constituted under the supervision of SDPO Domana Sunil Singh.
The team connected various leads and with the help of CCTV footages and other technical aids finally rounded up a suspect namely Rahul Kumar alias Kaka, son of Sham Lal, a resident of Chak Changwan Lane Number 2, Muthi.
During sustained questioning, the accused confessed his involvement in the above case and on his disclosure, stolen motorcycle bearing registration number JK02P-6527 and 9 mobile phones worth Rs 75,000 were recovered.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
