JAMMU, Oct 11: A man from Madhya Pradesh was found murdered in Gangyal area of city outskirts, today.
“The deceased was identified as Ram Charan alias Chela, resident of Ganj (Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh) and was presently living in Gangyal area of Jammu,” police sources said. They said he was murdered during the intervening night of Sunday and Monday by some of his friends in inebriated condition following a scuffle over some issue.
Police sources said that his body bearing wounds on head and face was found lying along the road near Gangyal Chowk, early this morning. “The body has been shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu. Three persons have been detained in the case and they are being interrogated while a case in this connection has been registered at police station Gangyal under relevant sections,” sources added.
