JAMMU, June 3: Rajpura Cricket Club trounced Ghou Manhasan XI by 5 wickets in the ongoing friendly Cricket Tri-Series at Government Higher Secondary School ground Ghou Manhasan, here today. Apart from these two teams, Nagbani Cricket Club is also participating in this series.
Electing to bat first, Ghou Manhasan XI scored a formidable total of 181 runs in 19.4 overs. Sonu (34), Ajay (31), Sunny Mehra (25) and Pawan (11) were the main contributors. For Rajpura XI, Major Singh claimed 3 wickets, while Vishal took 2 and Rocky picked one.
Rajpura XI, in reply chased the target in 18.2 overs by losing 5 wickets in the process and won the match by 5 wickets. Ravinder Slathia scored power-packed 75 runs in 35 balls with the help of 6 fours and 5 sixes, while Shiv Kumar and Rocky contributed 31 and 28 runs to the total respectively. For Ghou Manhasan XI, Sonu claimed 2 wickets, while Ajay and Pawan picked one wicket each. Ravinder Slathia was adjudged man of the match for his brilliant knock of 75 runs.
