SAMBA, Oct 14: District Samba Cycling Championship, organised by the Cycling Association of Jammu and Kashmir, concluded here today.
About 70 cyclists took part in the event.
In under-14 age category, Nikhil Verma stood first, Gourav Panday and Anish Sharma remained 2nd and 3rd respectively, whereas in sub-junior, Shivam Slathia, Hariom Sharma and Gourav Singh clinched top three positions respectively and in junior category, top three medals were secured by Abhay Choudhary, Ansh and Rahul respectively, besides in elite category, Ram Rakga, Bikram Sharma and Shubam stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively and in women category, Pallvi Sharma, Jahanvi and Kajal Sharma bagged top three positions respectively.
Rampal Sharma, Sarpanch Gho Bhramana Samba was the chief guest, while Bhagwan Dass was the guest of honour. SS Gill secretary CAJK, Om Parkash, Dr Vikesh Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Ganesh Choudhary and Capt Girdhari Lal were among the organisers of the event.
