JAMMU, Oct 29: Jammu Sanskriti School (JSS) Jammu today launched Journalism Club and released 2nd issue of Annual Magazine ‘Digdharshni’ here today.
The Journalism Club and Digdharshi magazine was launched by Dr Manish Prakash (Assistant Professor Department of Mass Communication and New Media Central University, Jammu), Khushboo Mattoo (Consulting Editor Network-18), Harpreet Singh Anand (Chairperson of the School), Rohini Aima (School Principal) in the presence of School coordinators, teachers and students.
After the inaugural ceremony, the august gathering was addressed by Rohini Aima in which she confabulated about the notion conceived by her regarding the amelioration of the journalist of the School.
The Advisors to Journalism Club of the School bequeathed upon Sanskritians their wisdom of experience and stated that there needs to be an amalgamation of ethics, morals & norms related to journalism. “For being an honest journalist one needs to be an honest researcher, discussing a myriad of problems and multifarious solutions available therein,” the Advisor stated.
Dr Manish Prakash apprised children about the panorama of mass media, while Khushboo Mattoo enlightened children about developmental journalism and the issues to be covered by the budding journalists.
The event marked its closure with a gratitude ceremony and vote of thanks which was conveyed by Pooja Wazir. The whole event was organized and conducted by Munmun Kohli (Chief Editor- School Media), Shavita Dubey (In-charge Journalism Club) and Shivani (Assistant In-charge Journalism Club).
