JAMMU, Oct 30: Day long J&K UT level Judo Championship, organised by Judo Association of J&K, concluded at Indoor Sports Complex Bhagwati Nagar, here today.
About 150 Judokas from Srinagar, Jammu, Kathua, Udhampur, Reasi, Rajouri and SMVDSB Katra participated in the championship, wherein Vikas Gupta, vice-president Judo Association of India was the chief guest who distributed medals & certificates among winners.
In 30 weight category, Amrit Gupta and Aritik Rajveer bagged top two medals respectively, while bronze medal was shared by Rahil Kumar and Shivyam, whereas in 35 kg, top two medals were secured by Vansh Singh & Avansh Sharma, while Mushtaq Ali &Mohd Munal shared bronze medal, and in 40 kg, Ishfaq Ali, Dinesh & Sukhpreet bagged top three medals respectively, besides in 45 kg, Hitesh Kumar & Adeeb bagged gold and silver and Abhishek & Aftab Khan shared bronze, while in 50 kg, Danish Sajad & Mukesh Kumar clinched gold medals, while Atul Sharma and Shenwaz Manzoor secured silver medals and Tushal Sharma, Kanishk Sharma, Vansh Vaid & Umkeshwar bagged bronze medals.
In 55 kg, Reyan and Ishan Saini won gold medals, while Mubarak and Vivesh clinched silvers and Ridham, Sohaib, Jaid Showqat & Tannu Andotra secured bronze medals, whereas in 60 kg, Manjit Singh & Akshay Sharma clinched gold medals, while Naresh Singh & Mir Hishan won silver medals and Irfan, Hamid, Sunil Kumar and Randeep Singh secured bronze medals and in 66 kg, Mohd Noman & Vishwas Jamwal won gold medals, while silver medals were secured by Prince &Vimal Thappa and Arihant, Harsh, Sunny Thakur & Simran Mangotra clinched bronze medals.
In 66 plus kg, Vipul Yashuvardhan, Mohd Hadi and Utkrash won top three medals respectively, while in 73 kg, Aman, Madan Singh & Majid bagged top three medals respectively and in 81 kg, Rajat, Lucky won gold and silver and bronze was shared by Navjot & Chint, besides in 90 kg, Abyman Singh, Mannat Sharma & Shagun Saini secured top three medals, whereas in 90 plus kg Tanu Sharma clinched gold.
In girls 28 kg, Akshara Sharma and Manshi bagged gold and silver medals, while in 32 kg, top two medals were secured by Yogita & Meghanki and in 36 kg, Shabana Akhtar & Diksha Bhagat won gold and silver medals respectively, besides in 40 kg, Aradhya & Ishita Mahajan won top two medals, while Fiza and Sanjeevani clinched silver medals and Shivanshi won bronze, whereas in 44 kg, Mamta and Adam Arshad won gold medals, while silver medals were won by Madhubala and Muskan and bronze clinched by Palak Mehra & Himashi and in 48 kg, Syed Azan and Meenakshi won gold medals, whereas Payal and Dilnaz clinched silver medals and bronze were secured by Suneha Sharma & Simran Sharma.
In 52 kg, Harshita and Nandni Chib secured gold medals, while Sonali and Sonika clinched silver and bronze respectively, whereas in 57 kg, Akriti & Hidaya won gold medals, while Sunaina Thakur & Sneha bagged silver medals and bronze medals were won by Prachi and Khushi and in 57 plus kg, Nirjala, Atifa Irfan and Pari Kochar bagged top three medals respectively, besides in 63 kg, Maithali won gold, whereas in 70 kg, gold and silver medals were won by Nirali and Mansha respectively.
The bouts were officiated by Arshi Nad, Vikas Dogra, Ritika Slathia, Jugal Kishore, Shakti Gupta, Rameswar Jamwal, Danish Sharma, Rohit Sadotra and Shweta Thakur.
