JAMMU, Nov 1: Two-day UT level Rollball Championship was inaugurated by the working president of Rollball Association of J&K, Shah Umar Mustafa at MA Stadium, here today.
About 200 players from across the UT are participating in the championship.
In today’s matches, Jammu district emerged winner in under-14 boys category, while Kashmir team and Kathua district claimed 2nd and 3rd places respectively, while in under-14 girls, Jammu remained at top, while Kathua at 2nd place and Kashmir team stood 3rd and in under-17 boys, Kashmir team bagged 1st place, while Jammu district stood 2nd and Kathua remained at 3rd place, besides in under-17 girls category, Jammu district clinched 1st place, Kathua 2nd and Kashmir team bagged 3rd place.
Divisional Sports Officer, Ashok Singh distributed prizes among the winners of the 1st day in the presence of Rajesh Gupta, Satish Koul, Ashraf Diju and Ajeet Raj.
The tournament is being organised under the overall supervision of Sudheer Singh and Rita Rehan with the assistance of Mahima Khajuria and Vishali Bagal.
