UT level MMA Kudo C’ship concludes

JAMMU, Nov 6: Saying Kudo helps younger generation in staying focused, fit and mentally agile, former MLA and BJP leader Devender Singh Rana today expressed happiness of growing participation of talented players in the sport.
“It is a life-long sport, system for youth education, method of self-defense and health maintenance for adults”, Rana said at the concluding function of the 3rd J&K UT level MMA Championship held at Mount Litera Zee School Bohri Jammu, organized by Kudo Association of Jammu and Kashmir, adding that along with these elements it stresses the “Reigi” or respect and etiquette in its tradition.
Devender Rana, who was the chief guest at the function, said that Kudo takes the player the level where they can achieve anything they want in life. This sport can be opted by anyone from any field, he said and  appreciated Kudo Association of Jammu and Kashmir for taking all the responsibility on its shoulders to make J&K the finest place to learn and master the techniques of the sport.
President Kudo Association Jammu and Kashmir Renshi Faisal Nazir, while speaking on the occasion, said that as Kudo Mixed Martial Art gets more and more mainstream and becomes more popular, in moves farther and farther away from the Kudo Spirit of martial arts. He said the main objective of organizing kudo event is to promote sports in Jammu and Kashmir so that youth can be saved from the menace of drugs and stress.
Gulshan Rattan president Kudo Association Jammu Province maintained that now we have the luxury of tremendous amount of information available when it comes to books, DVD and over the web.
“I honestly believe the modern day Kudo Japanese mixed martial artist/fighter is better trained physically and mentally,” he added.
The championship was hosted by Gulshan Rattan president Kudo Association Jammu Province and Puneet Arora chairman of (KAJP) under the supervision of president Kudo Association Jammu and Kashmir.
Dharamveer Singh Jamwal former Dy Mayor and BJP leader and Abdul Qayoom Mir DDC Thannamandi besides others were also present.
Renshi Faisal Nasir along with his J&KUT Body including Showkat, Jahangir, Shabir and Shahbaz were among the prominent present on the occasion. Also present were Jatinder Sarngal, Rajinder Gupta,Sunny Baba, Vishal Manyal, Aman Verma, Navjot Singh, Sahil, Ravi Thakur and Kartik.
More than 200 students participated from different districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
