DCA Malwa, Roshan Rangers script wins

AMRITSAR, Nov 11: DCA Malwa and Roshan Rangers emerged winners of the ongoing Late Sardev Singh Memorial Cricket Tournament by defeating Dr Rishi & Sonu XI and Tangra XI respectively, being played at Amandeep Cricket Ground, here today.
Today’s first match was played between DCA Malwa XI and Dr Rishi & Sonu XI. DCA Malwa won the toss and elected to field first. Dr. Rishi and Sonu XI scored 139 runs in stipulated 20 overs, while DCA Malwa won the match by scoring 142 runs in 17 overs by losing only 5 wickets and registered 5 wickets win over Dr Rishi & Sonu XI. Kashish Panseja was declared as man of the match for his fabulous batting and bowling who made 70 runs in 51 balls and clinched one wicket.
In the 2nd match, Tangra XI won the toss and elected to field first. After a spectacular performance, Roshan Rangers scored 167 runs and won the match by 48 runs. Tangra XI was all out at 119 runs. Amrik of Roshan Rangers was declared as man of the match for outstanding performance with the bowl and took 4 wickets.
Vikram Singh, Manager of Harbhajan Singh Institute of Cricket was the chief guest and presented man of the match trophies and cash prizes to the winners.
It is pertinent to mention here that the legend of Indian cricket, Harbhajan Singh has sponsored this tournament which has been organised every year in the fond memory of his late father Sardar Sardev Singh.
