CRPF organizes cricket match

JAMMU, Nov 14: A cricket match was organized by Group Centre CRPF Jammu between teams comprising Gazetted Officers, Subordinate Officers and Jawans of all the offices of CRPF Campus, here today.
PS Ranpise, IGP Jammu Sector was the chief guest of the event.       The chief guest while addressing on this occasion said that “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 31 on 140th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel with the main objective was to promote unity, peace and goodwill among the people of all the States and Union Territories of India.
Under this, various types of programs and games are organized by all the Government Departments in the country and in this sequence a “Cricket Match” was organized today, in which all the players showed a high level of sportsmanship and discipline.
Later, the chief guest awarded trophies to players for best batter; bowling and man besides winning team players were awarded with trophies and certificates of participation.
During the match, the joint team (Aqua team) of Group Centre and Range Jammu was declared as winner, while the joint team (Gray team) of J&K Zone, Jammu Sector, C.H Jammu, B/5 Signal Bn was announced as runner up.
The match was organized under the leadership of Bhanu Pratap Singh, DIGP, whereas Bhupinder Singh, DIGP, TN Khuntia, DIGP J&K Zone, Pradeep Chandra, DIGP, Sunand Kumar, Commandant of Jammu Sector and PC Gupta, Commandant, Ajay Sharma and many other officers were present during the event.
