JAMMU, Nov 14: The intramural Athletic competitions of C-Dyte Centre Gurha Brahmana of Block, Akhnoor were conducted at Playground Gurha Brahmana under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Anshul Garg and under the overall supervision of Sub Divisional Magistrate Akhnoor Navneet Mann- the Nodal Officer of the Centre, here today.
The competitions were organised by the Block Development Office Akhnoor in collaboration with the Department of Youth Services And Sports.
SDM Akhnoor was the chief guest and District Youth Services and Sports Officer Jammu was the guest of honour on the occasion. About 35 boys & 30 girl athletes participated in various events including 200, 400, 800, 1600, 3000 metres and 4×100 relay race, long jump. Today’s event culminated with the 100 metres racing heat which was organised for both boys and girls.
Prominent persons including Surinder Singh, Tehsildar Akhnoor, Leela Devi Sarpanch Panchayat-Gurha Brahmana West, Naib Sarpanch Rattan Lal Sharma, Yash Paul and all officials of Department of Youth Services were present during the event.
