YSS beats J&K Forest by 8 wickets

SRINAGAR, Nov 15: Youth Services and Sports (YSS) team trounced J&K Forest team by 8 wickets in the ongoing league cum knockout 2nd Inter-Departments (Employees) T-20 Cricket Tournament, being played at University of Kashmir Ground, here today.
The Departmental team of Youth Services and Sports Department won 2nd consecutive match of the tournament.
Batting first, J&K Forest made 131 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. In reply, the super striking first batting order helped the team to achieve the target very easily. It was the 17th over of the match with just two wickets down when YSS defeated their opponents.
Nasir Paray scored unbeaten 64 runs, while former Ranji player Parminder Singh scored 32 runs. Saleem, Sajad and Rafiq took one wicket each for the team.
Previously YSS team had defeated Kashmir University by 52 runs, while team captain Bilal Shams was declared as man of the match for his outstanding performance with ball and bat.
Gazanfar Ali, Director YSS expressed his happiness for this spectacular win of the team. While expressing his congratulatory message with the team manager Azhar Hajini over the phone from Jammu, he hoped that this team would achieve many such titles in future as well.
