RAJOURI, July 23: The Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, based at Jhangar distributed the sports items to the Government Primary School, Kachha (Bhawani), Nowshera, under the aegis of Headquarters Counter Insurgency Force (Uniform), as part of ongoing Operation Sadbhavana, today.
The aim of distribution of sports items was to give an impetus to the sports facilities in the life of students hailing from far flung, remote and border areas.
The school had inadequacy of funds and sports items to cater the sports facility to all the students in the school. Hence, the Army authorities at Jhangar came forward to provide the assistance and sports items to the students.
On the occasion, the sports items were handed over to Raj Kumar, Headmaster of the school in the presence of school staff, besides Sarpanch of the Village Bhawani and prominent persons of the area.
The teachers and students of the school expressed their gratitude and appreciated the role of the Army for providing facilities.
