DDC Vice-Chairperson inspects developmental works in Gulabgarh

REASI, Nov 21: Advocate Sajra Qadir, Vice Chairperson District Development Council, Reasi, visited Nihoch, Dewal, Dogga, Vandara, Gulabgarh, Paghialla and other adjoining areas of block Gulabgarh of district Reasi.
During the visit, she inspected the ongoing developmental works of the block, CAPEX budget in many Panchayats and asked the RDD officials to complete the work in a speedy manner in the far flung and hilly areas. She assured the general public that the departments concerned are working at their best to provide all basic facilities to the far flung areas.
The DDC Vice-Chairperson also listened to the grievances of the general public, including those who have donated their lands to PHE Department but till date the donors haven’t received anything in return even as they were given assurance at the time of donating land that they would get employment in the said department.
Locals also raised the issue of the salary of Maali cum Chowkidars along with the payments of the block in the areas. The remaining issues were ration, electricity, road connectivity, schemes of various departments, Health Departments, School Education Department, banking facilities to the public, roads compensation, water supply, bridges and so on. Folks also demanded a playground so as to enable the youth to choose the right path to success.
Advocate Sajra Qadir requested the district administration Reasi to send its respective officers of departments to the far flung areas once in a month to monitor the ongoing projects. She also requested the administration to conduct a mass awareness public camp for the sensitization of various schemes as it is a need of the hour.
