JAMMU, Nov 24: Owais Riaz Chowdhary- a student of class 12th of Doon International School, Jammu bagged Gold medal in National Bench Press Championship-2021 held in Goa.
He participated in the Sub-junior 93 kg weight category under the aegis of Powerlifting Federation of India, recognised by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, GoI.
It is pertinent to mention here that he was the first person from J&K to clinch a Gold medal in the Sub-junior category of the Classic Bench Press.
School Chairman, GN Tantray and Principal Dr Vikesh Kaur congratulated him on this feat and wished him abundant success for his future endeavours.
