SRINAGAR, Nov 25: Police today said to have arrested a timber smuggler and seized illicit timber at Waniarm Wangath Ganderbal.
Acting on specific input about timber smuggling at Waniarm Wangath, a team of Police Station Kangan under the close supervision of SDPO Kangan Syed Yasir Qadri raided the particular spot and seized illicit timber from one person identified as Ghulam Mohammad Khan son of Mohd Akbar Khan resident of Waniarm Wangath Kangan.
The accused was arrested and accordingly, a case vide FIR number 139/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Kangan and further investigation set into motion. Moreover, efforts were on to nab the persons involved in the commission of the crime.
