SAMBA, July 25: Zakir Hussain of Sarore toppled Mohd Kalu of Bishnah in the main bout to lift the title in the Samba District Indian Style Wrestling Championship, which concluded at Bari Brahamana, here today.
Former Minister and MLA Surjeet Singh Slathia was the chief guest on the valedictory function who distributed prizes among the wrestlers on the occasion.
35 wrestlers drawn from district Samba took part in this championship to vie for the top honours.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Yogeshwar Singh, president, Indian Style Wrestling Association Samba, Raman Gupta, Bhagwan Singh, Vijay Singh, Bansi Lal and Rakesh Singh Sambyal.
