BIS organizes Standards Club Awareness Program

UDHAMPUR, Nov 30: Bureau of Indian Standards (JKBO) Jammu and Kashmir Branch Office in association with Directorate of School Education Jammu organized Standards Club Awareness Program at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Tikri.
The objective of the program was to promote quality and standards in every sphere of the society through school students. The chief guests of the program were Dr SP Paurush Shrikhandia, Head, Coordination Cell DSEJ, Shweta Sharma, Coordination Cell DSEJ, J&K and Ashish Dwivedi, Standard Promotion Officer, BIS, JKBO, J&K Branch.
The main objective of the event was to distribute certificates and consolation prizes to the winners in the poster, slogan and essay writing competition held on World Standards Day (October 14) with the theme “Shared Vision for a Better World”.
The students were honored by giving prize money and certificates by the officials of BIS JKBO and Directorate of School Education.
