JAMMU, Dec 5: Crime Branch Jammu has produced a charge-sheet against Revenue Officials including then Tehsildar Sayed Zulfaqar Ali Jaffray son of G.A Jaffri of Ustaad Mohalla Jammu and then Patwari Ram Saran son of Ralla Ram of Rathwa Ghou Manhasan and four other accused persons namely Chaju Ram alias Chottu Ram son of Moti Magh, Sheru Ram , Hari Ram and Paras Ram, all sons of Chaju Ram of Alora Tehsil Mandal District Jammu.
They were involved hatching criminal conspiracy in preparing mutation with respect of piece of land, measuring 16 kanals 10 Marlas at Tikku Tehra Tehsil Jammu. The mutation was done in contravention of the provision of the law of the land and against the interest of the complainant.
A written complaint was lodged by Gurdeep Singh son of Jagat Singh of Channi Himmat Jammu wherein it was alleged that the land in question was allotted in favour of one Jagat Singh son of Kala Singh as a PoK Refugee of 1947. The father of the complainant during his life time remained in continuous physical cultivation and possession over the State land allotted to him and after his death the complainant and his brother were in physical cultivating possession and no rights of proprietorship could be vested in favour of any person including the allottees.
On receipt of the complaint a preliminary verification was initiated by Crime Branch Jammu and during the course of enquiry the allegations were prima-facie substantiated, leading to the registration of instant formal criminal case.
During the course of investigation, oral, material and other documentary evidence was collected which proved that the beneficiaries Chaju Ram alias Chottu Ram and others in connivance with the then Revenue authorities prepared the mutation besides making false entries in the revenue record in contravention to the law of the land and against the interests of the complainant.
Charge-sheet has been produced in the Court of Special Judge Anti- Corruption, Jammu for judicial determination.
