POONCH, Dec 5: At least 13 passengers on board a bus had a ‘near death’ experience after the vehicle carrying them skidded off the road at Bhimber Gali in Poonch district on Sunday evening.
Official sources said that the bus bearing registration number JK02AW- 6457, which was on way from Jammu to Poonch, met with the accident and was somehow stopped by the road embankment from rolling down into a deep gorge.
All the passengers are safe, the official said, adding though an ambulance alongside a joint team of police and medical, reached the spot to rule out any exigency.
Meanwhile, six persons were injured when an Alto car No. JK12-8587 which was on way to Jammu from Mendhar skidded of the road near Muradpur in Rajouri. The injured identified as Maqbool Jan, Khalida Akhtar, Amir Raja, Ishrat Jan and two children Frah Jan (3 yrs) and Mohd Akram (9 yrs) were shifted to District Hospital Rajouri. The police has taken cognizance.
