15th Christmas Gold Cup

JAMMU, Dec 7: DFA Kathua trounced Young Star FC by 3 goals to nil, while Param FC got better of Churchill Brothers by 6 goals to 1 in the ongoing 15th Christmas Gold Cup Football Tournament, here today.
The tournament is being organized by All J&K Sports and Cultural Welfare Association at GGM Science College Ground here.
In the first match, the first goal was secured by Ayush in 47th minute of the game, while 2nd goal was netted by Vinay in the 68th minute and 3rd goal was scored by Gurpreet of Young Star for DFA Kathua.
In the 2nd match which was played between Churchill Brothers and Param FC wherein latter won the match by defeating former by 6 goals to 1 wherein 1st goal was clinched by Aniket through penalty kick for Param FC in the 13th minute, while 2nd and 3rd goals were netted by Lalit and Lakshay in the 36th and 42nd minutes of the game respectively and 4th, 5th and 6th goals were secured by Adityan Verma, Aniket and Sunil in the 48th, 55th and 68th minutes of the game respectively for Param FC.
For Churchill Brothers, Adonis was the single player who scored a goal in the 65th minute of the game.
The matches were officiated by Dheeraj Menia, Abhiskek, Romesh Sethi, Aman Sudan, Aman Banathia, Madhav Sharma, Dil Bahadur and Satnam Singh.
Advocate Sheikh Muzamil Mehmood was the chief guest of the last match, while Nazir Ahmed, Amir Farooq, Charan Dass, Sat Pal Singh, Harbans Lal, Rakesh Khanna and many others were among the special guests of the event.
Sainik Colony will lock horns with Vijay Club, while Christian United face Young Rovers tomorrow.
