JAMMU, July 28: Police today rescued four bovine animals and arrested two smugglers.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Akhnoor Police Station laid a naka on Jammu-Poonch National Highway and intercepted a Tata mobile bearing registration number JK12-6029.
During checking, police recovered four bovine animals and arrested two smugglers, who have been identified as Chait Ram, son of Subash Chander of Magnaar, Poonch and Mohd Syaid Khan, son of Mohammad Afzal Khan of Chandak, Poonch.
A case under FIR number 188/13 under Section 188 RPC and 3 PC Act has been registered at Akhnoor Police Station and investigation started.
Police party led by SHO Mahesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Rayees Mohammad Bhat.
