KALAKOTE, July 29: Under Operation Sadbhavana, the furniture, sports gear and books were distributed to schools located at far flung areas of Kalakote region by Rashtriya Rifles Kalakote, under the aegis of Reasi based Rashtriya Rifles Headquarters.
The aim of the project is to uplift the standard of education and to provide facilities in the remote areas of Kalakote.
The project was initiated on the request of the teaching staff of the schools and local population.
This project will help in improving the standard of class rooms.
A total of 43 Desk/Benches, 50 library books and 15 sports items and kits were provided to Government Middle School Dhalyote and Government High School, Tattapani, District Rajouri (J&K).
Speaking on the occasion, Head Master of Govt Middle school Dhalyote and Principal Govt High School Tattapani expressed their gratitude to Army and said that with availability of desk and benches students will not be sitting any more on the floor and school will have better environment for study.
The event was attended by the Officers of Rashtriya Rifles Kalakote, Bishan Kumar, Sarpanch Dhalyote A, Haji Mohd Sadiq, Sarpanch Dhalyote B, Som Raj, Sarpanch Barmandal and other prominent personnel of Dhalyote and Tattapani.
