JAMMU, Jan 6: Amid reports of rising cases of Covid-19, Jammu University Non-Teaching Employees Union has urged the JU authorities to carry out mass testing with proper strategy covering all in a phased manner.
In a letter to the JU Registrar, the union has also requested that the classes for students of the university may immediately be shifted to online mode and physical visit in the Examination Wing may be avoided.
“Further, all other steps like sanitization/fumigation which have already been done earlier may be carried out in a large scale and intensified manner to mitigate the scare, which is expected to be in the mind of all the employees,” reads the communique.
Pertinent to mention that three non-teaching employees of JU today tested Covid positive.
